Arm Partners With Vodafone, China Unicom on IoT, Launches Security Certification

Arm pushed further into IoT this week at MWC, announcing new partnerships with Vodafone and China Unicom and a security certification process for IoT devices.

“We recognize that if the reality of a trillion connected devices is to be met, we need to build trust in those devices, and we need to make it easy for developers and OEMs to implement the right level of security for their use case,” said Chet Babla, VP of Arm’s emerging businesses group.

Arm Announces a New Security Certification Program for IoT Devices

Last year Arm detailed their vision of a trillion connected devices and the Neoverse platform that is designed to enable it. Over the past month, we have seen some significant progress on the server side with the announcement of the Neoverse N1 and E1 platforms.
