George Grey is VP Technology at Qualcomm Technologies International Ltd. He co-founded Foundries.io, an open source software platform company with the mission to help OEMs bring IoT and Edge devices to market faster and manage them remotely, which was acquired by Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc. earlier this year. FoundriesFactory™ is a cloud native development environment that reinvents IoT by delivering a security-rich, customizable, Linux® platform with fleet management services for the world’s connected devices. George has extensive experience founding and leading hardware and software companies in the US and the UK. Prior to Foundries.io he was the founding CEO of Linaro, leading collaboration on open source software across the Arm ecosystem. Earlier in his career, George led SavaJe Technologies, a Java-based OS company, and was founding CEO of Tadpole Technology plc, manufacturer of the world’s first notebook mobile workstations. George is frequently invited to speak on topics that include open source software, Linux and SaaS. He has a BA in Electrical Sciences Tripos from the University of Cambridge, UK.
